Welcome to the official Privacy Policy for NuvoraTab ("we", "us", or "our"), authored and maintained by Brijesh Verma (Programmar Brijesh). This policy applies to the NuvoraTab browser extension for Google Chrome, Brave, Microsoft Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers, as well as the accompanying website at https://programmar-brijesh.github.io/nuvoratab/.
Our privacy commitment is simple and absolute: NuvoraTab does not harvest, monetize, sell, or monitor your personal data. We built NuvoraTab to provide a breathtaking, clutter-free new tab wallpaper experience, without turning our users into products.
Single Purpose & Chrome Web Store Compliance
In strict accordance with the Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, NuvoraTab adheres to the Single Purpose Policy.
NuvoraTab has a single, explicit, user-facing function: to replace your browser's default blank new tab page with curated, high-definition wallpapers (Nature, Space, Technology), minimal digital clock, and customizable display overlays.
NuvoraTab will never inject advertisements, alter third-party search results, hijack affiliate links, or bundle secondary hidden features. Everything NuvoraTab does is directly related to rendering your new tab dashboard.
Information We Do NOT Collect
To ensure absolute transparency, here is an explicit list of the data types NuvoraTab never collects, intercepts, or transmits:

Data Handled Locally on Your Device
To make NuvoraTab work smoothly across browser restarts, small non-identifiable UI preferences are persisted on your device using Chrome's built-in sandboxed storage API (chrome.storage.local).
The items saved locally include:
- Active Wallpaper Category: e.g., "Nature", "Space", "Tech", or "All Curated".
- Rotation Frequency: e.g., Every Tab, 1 Hour, 12 Hours, or Daily.
- Interface Display Toggles: e.g., Show 12h/24h clock, toggle dark overlay dimming, or hide quick links.
- Last Viewed Wallpaper Index: An integer index referencing the curated wallpaper rotation queue so you do not see the same image consecutively.
Manifest V3 Permissions Breakdown & Justifications
We strictly enforce the principle of Least Privilege. NuvoraTab requests only the absolute minimum set of browser permissions required to perform its core wallpaper display task.

Third-Party Services & External Network Requests
To maintain sub-second load times and high visual quality, NuvoraTab interacts only with the following external endpoints:
1. Curated Wallpaper CDNs (Public Image Delivery)
HD wallpapers displayed in NuvoraTab are served directly through reputable high-speed Content Delivery Networks (including official Unsplash public image URLs and static assets). When an image is loaded, standard HTTP request headers (such as browser User-Agent and IP address) are processed by the CDN edge server solely to deliver the image file. No cookies, trackers, or user tokens are attached to wallpaper requests.
2. Optional Support Desk & Discord Alerts (User Initiated Only)
If and only if you choose to submit a support ticket via our web portal (support.html), your ticket details (name, email, subject, and message) are sent securely over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker endpoint, which routes the notification to our private Discord developer triage channel.
- Environment diagnostics (such as browser version and operating system) are strictly optional and only attached if you keep the diagnostics checkbox checked.
- No Discord webhook tokens or credentials are ever exposed in public client code.
- Support submission is completely voluntary and is not required to use the extension.
3. Zero Advertising or Tracking Networks
NuvoraTab does not partner with, embed, or send data to Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Mixpanel, Segment, Hotjar, or any ad networks.
User Rights, Access & Data Deletion (GDPR & CCPA)
Because NuvoraTab does not store personal data on any remote server, your data sovereignty is inherent and automatic. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and similar privacy frameworks worldwide, you possess the right to access, inspect, export, and delete your data.
How to Completely Delete Your Stored Preferences
- Within the Extension: Open a new tab, click the Settings gear icon, and select "Reset All Preferences to Defaults".
- Via Chrome Browser Settings: Navigate to
chrome://extensions, find NuvoraTab, and click Remove. Chrome will instantly delete all extension storage and sandbox databases from your disk. - Clear Browsing Data: Clearing Chrome's "Cookies and other site data" also purges all extension local storage entries.
Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA Compliance)
NuvoraTab is family-friendly and safe for users of all ages. All curated wallpapers are manually selected for family, educational, and professional appropriateness.
In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and global child safety regulations, NuvoraTab does not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). Because no personal information is requested or collected from any user, children can enjoy NuvoraTab in complete privacy.
Security Architecture & Manifest V3 Rigor
Privacy and security go hand in hand. NuvoraTab is built using Google's modern Manifest V3 standard, providing cutting-edge protections against malicious tampering:
- Strict Content Security Policy (CSP): NuvoraTab does not allow
eval(),new Function(), or arbitrary string execution. - Zero Remote Script Execution: All extension logic is packaged inside the signed CRX file downloaded directly from the Chrome Web Store. No JavaScript is ever fetched or executed from remote servers.
- Input Sanitization: Our support portal backend thoroughly strips control characters, null bytes, and malicious scripts before formatting Discord messages.
- Encrypted Transport: All assets and communications utilize TLS 1.3 encryption across every network transaction.

Common questions regarding how NuvoraTab respects your browser and protects your privacy:
No. NuvoraTab operates under a strict Zero-Data-Collection policy. We do not track, collect, store, monetize, or sell your URLs, browsing history, search queries, IP addresses, or personal information.
All user configuration settings (selected wallpaper categories, transition speed, clock formats, and overlay dimming) are saved exclusively in your browser's local sandbox storage using chrome.storage.local. Nothing is uploaded to any remote database.
NuvoraTab contains zero third-party analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or marketing beacons. Wallpapers are loaded directly from trusted public CDNs (such as Unsplash), and support tickets are only transmitted if you explicitly submit a form through our support desk.
NuvoraTab requests only the minimal necessary permissions: storage (to persist your preferences locally on your computer) and chrome_url_overrides.newtab (to render the curated wallpaper dashboard when opening a new browser tab). We do not request tabs, history, cookies, or broad host permissions.
Because all data is stored strictly in your browser's local storage, uninstalling NuvoraTab or clearing site data via Chrome settings automatically and permanently deletes all stored preferences.
